My name is Maaike Leenders, professional translator English-Dutch with a passion for creativity, communication and well-worded writing.

After receiving my Master’s degree in English Language and Culture at Leiden University, I started my career in translation as an in-house translator, quickly growing to become both translator and project manager – a unique double role that helped me develop a thorough understanding of both the translation process and customer needs. I am a Qualified Member (MITI) of ITI and belong to several other professional organisations.

For over 10 years now, I have been working with a variety of clients to provide them with quality translations into Dutch.

Specializations

I offer general translations and translations in the following specialized fields:

Including translation of advertising materials, magazines, brochures, letters, presentations, retail, culinary, tourism and travel.

Transcreation

Translations with a little extra creative flair whereby the source text is translated more freely.

Such as websites, banners, course materials, work instructions, educational texts, HR and (business) documentation.

Business Communication

I.e. press releases, internal/external company communications and promotional material.
